Athena Alliance hosts a variety of in-person events for members to connect, learn, and share experiences. These events range from intimate gatherings to partner events to broader community Summits. Each event is designed to foster genuine connections, professional growth, and meaningful relationship building and deepening with other Athena members. Some Athena in-person events are also open to non-members to join to get a sense of our community. We value variety here at Athena Alliance and recognize the value in diverse event offerings. Explore the different formats of Athena’s in-person gatherings:

Our flagship type of in-person event. Bespoke member gatherings are frequent get-togethers of local members designed to spark conversation and camaraderie and are a chance to get to know your local or visiting Athena members. These intimate events are typically hosted at a member’s home, coffee shop, terrace, food hall, or local restaurant or bar. Some gatherings also include a workshop or a guest speaker/ panel of speakers focused on a specific topic. Be prepared for genuine conversation and walk away with a true sense of connection. Members love bespoke gatherings for their smaller numbers of attendees and frequency in occurrence, leading to more intimate connection-building.

Athena works with a variety of partners that align with our mission and values. As such, we want to share these events with members. Because they are organized by Athena’s partners, attendance typically requires people to RSVP and/or pay a fee on an external platform. Be sure to review the instructions on the event description for how to confirm your registration and attend.

NEW! Athena’s new major events of the year. We host only a few of these in major cities across the country every year. These are large gatherings hosted by Athena’s founder and CEO, Coco Brown. Summits are a place to connect with the entire Athena community and include keynote presentations and panels on relevant themes for business leaders planning a holistic career. 2025 will include Summits in San Francisco, Boston, New York, Seattle and Washington DC. Try to join at least one and be inspired by the energy of so much of the top echelon of business in one place at one time! You will not want to miss these events.

How to Host an In-Person Event:

Interested in bringing the Athena community together in your area? Hosting an event is a rewarding way to get the most out of Athena’s network and connect with fellow members! Here’s how to get started:

1. Request an Event: Fill out this form to let us know you’d like to see an event in your area. If you’re interested in hosting or co-hosting, our Learning and Events Manager, Marielle, will reach out to assist with planning.

2. Define the Details: Choose a time and venue that’s accessible and budget-friendly. Hosts can decide to sponsor refreshments, at home or at a restaurant, or organize a potluck style gathering. For unsponsored events, Athena can collect an RSVP fee per person to cover costs for the host. For these occasions, the host pays and Athena reimburses the host shortly after the event.
