When having issues uploading a document to your profile, it's most likely that it is due to the file size. The platform has an upload size limit, and some documents, especially with pictures, exceed that limit. To resolve this, you should compress the file;
If you're a Mac user:
Launch the Preview app.
Open the PDF that you want to compress
Choose File > Export. (Don't choose Export as PDF)
Click the Quartz Filter pop-up menu, then choose Reduce File Size (8MB)
If you're a PC user:
Launch Acrobat and open the Optimize PDF tool.
Locate your PDF and click Open.
Click the Reduce File Size button on the top menu.
Select the compatibility option you want (8MB) and click OK.
